BCD Meetings & Events has expanded its sales team with the addition of an industry expert to its ranks. Rhonda Brewer, president of destination management company RMC and former president of the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence, will now serve as BCD's vice president of North American sales meetings management. In the new role, she will be responsible for new customer acquisitions as well as all North American strategic meetings management and life-sciences customers.
"Rhonda brings a tremendous amount of experience in navigating the complexities of a B2B third-party agency's sales functions within the meetings and events space," said Bruce Morgan, senior vice president of meetings management and Latin America for BCD, to whom Brewer will report. "She knows our business and is known in our business."
Brewer brings with her more than three decades in the MICE industry. Most recently, as president of RMC, Brewer was at the helm of one of the largest woman-owned, privately held DMCs in North America. Prior to this role, she spent 25 years at Maritz Travel, serving in a wide range of departments, including sales, business solutions, industry relations and sector operations. This variety of experience is expected to enrich what she has to offer BCD.
"Rhonda's passion for driving the industry forward and developing solutions custom-fit to our customer's need is a perfect fit for BCD M&E," said Morgan. "I am excited to see what our future holds with Rhonda at the helm of North America sales."
