The Exhibitions & Conferences Alliance, which was created in 2021 to serve as a unified advocacy voice for the business-events industry, announced today the establishment of a one-stop digital advocacy platform. ECA advocates for issues such as reducing visa wait times, and helping the industry attract and train the next generation of workers.
The new ECA Advocacy Network will house the organization's three signature advocacy programs:
- The ECA Action Center allows anyone in the industry to contact their Congressional representatives and other elected officials about the ECA's public-policy priorities in just a few clicks.
- The Social Influencer Program encourages people to share the ECA's advocacy-related posts across social media in order to educate their networks, the general public and policymakers on important issues that impact the business-events industry.
- The Show Floor Program brings policymakers to conferences and trade shows across the United States to show them first-hand how the industry operates and what its direct impact is on local communities.
"The business-events industry has the best advocates anywhere," said ECA vice president Tommy Goodwin. "With the ECA Advocacy Network, now they don't have to be in Washington, D.C., or the state capitals to be part of the action. These new programs and tools will let anyone who wants to advocate on behalf of the industry get involved wherever they are: at home, in the office or even on the show floor."
