Insulated drink cups are popular to the point of ubiquity, but the vast majority are cheap plastic that will barely keep your coffee warm during your commute and will crack the first time they're dropped.
That's why Yeti, which has built a strong reputation for producing some of the best coolers on the market today, has made a line of double-wall vacuum insulated, solid steel drinkware that will keep your coffee or soup hot, and the ice cubes in a soda solid for the entire workday -- twice as long as a plastic insulated cup.
To call the line "over-engineered" is a it of an understatement. The Rambler Tumblers, and the Ramble Colster for cans and bottles are made of kitchen-grade 18/8 stainless steel - the same grade used in many high-end pots and pans -- which means you basically have to run them over to do any damage. The kitchen-grade steel means they won't leave a metallic taste, and are sweat-free and dishwasher safe.
Even with it's premium price, the Rambler line has proven very popular with incentive award redeemers, says Steve Damerow, CEO of Atlanta-based Incentive Solutions, which has brought the Yeti line into incentive channel.
The Rambler Tumblers come in 20- and 30-ounce sizes suitable for car cup holders, and feature an easy-to-clean, shatterproof, crystal clear lid. They have a manufacturer's suggested price or $29.99 and $39.99.
The Rambler Colster ($29.99) fits 12-ounce bottles and cans, and features a screw-on gasket that goes over the drink and locks the drink into place, keeping it far cooler for far longer than a cheap neoprene wrap.
The 10-ounce Rambler Lowball ($24.99) will never leave a ring, and fits the lid ($4.99) of a 20-ounce Tumbler.
Coming this spring, the Rambler Bottles will be available in 18-ounce ($39.99), 36-ounce ($59.99), and 64-ounce ($89.99) sizes and feature a tough, BPA-free, air-tight screw-on lid with a large handle and an opening big enough to fit over your nose for easy drinking.
