Those looking to incorporate closed-loop gift cards into their consumer or employee incentive programs will have the opportunity to tap into a range of insights at this year's Retail Gift Card Association Forum. The RGCA, the only nonprofit trade organization representing the closed-loop gift-card industry, announced last week that registration is now open for the annual event, and that it will take place Sept. 30 through Oct. 2, 2019, in Phoenix, Arizona.
The organization also laid out the major topics that will be discussed at the gathering, which attracts retailers, gift-card program managers, technology companies in the gift-card space, manufacturers, distributors and more. The topics will be included in the following sessions:
- A Research-Based State of the Industry Report
- Digital Innovation -- eGifts, Payment Apps, Digital Wallets
- Building Blocks for a Successful Gift-Card Program
- How to Expand Gift-Card Programs Globally
- Gift-Card Program Best Practices
- Regulatory Updates Critical to Gift-Card Programs
- A Deep Dive Into B2B Gift-Card Applications
These sessions will include commentary from retail and payments executives, providing in-depth keynotes and interactive panel discussions exploring the evolution, application and most pressing issues affecting gift cards today. It explores what challenges come up for gift cards, including issues involving branded currency, incentives, marketing tools and more.
"The RGCA Forum has catalyzed growth and development of the closed-loop gift-card terrain," said Jayne Stegemiller, RGCA board chair. "At this year's conference there will be hundreds of gift-card industry professionals in attendance who will learn valuable intel to help them continue to innovate and transform the role gift cards play in people's lives. Show attendees will have access to exclusive industry research, best practices and insights from top experts -- and will take away a better understanding of how to leverage gift cards as valuable branded payments tools."
The event will take place at the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass. Those interested in registering can click here; early bird rates are available through June 30.
